The Anesthesia Department at Tishk International University organized an Orientation Day for newly admitted students on December 11, 2026, at Education Building, Room 302. The event aimed to introduce students to the university system, academic expectations, and student life.

The orientation program opened with a welcome address by Prof. Dr. Faiq Hussain, Dean, who provided an overview of Tishk International University, its academic vision, and its commitment to high-quality education.

Following this, Dr. Tola Faraj, Vice Dean, presented an introduction to the Applied Science Faculty, highlighting its academic structure, study programs, and role in preparing qualified healthcare professionals.

Mr. Kovan Dilawer, Coordinator of the Anesthesia Department, delivered a detailed presentation on the Anesthesia Department, explaining the study plan, course structure, examination system, job description of anesthesia graduates, and the skills and competencies students are expected to gain throughout the program.

The session continued with Mr. Adam Jalal, Dean of Students, who spoke about the Dean of Students Office, student services, university regulations, and extracurricular activities, emphasizing the importance of student engagement and campus life.

Finally, Ms. Paiwand Mamand provided a comprehensive explanation of the Student Information System (SIS), grading system, attendance policies, and other academic and administrative procedures essential for students’ daily academic activities.

The Orientation Day concluded with an interactive discussion, allowing students to ask questions and gain a clear understanding of their academic journey and university life within the Anesthesia Department.
