On 9th May 2026, the staff and students at the Anesthesia Department at Tishk International University organized an educational and social visit to Shanidar Cave and Barzan as part of the department’s extracurricular activities aimed at enhancing students’ cultural awareness and strengthening social relationships among participants.
During the visit to Mazari Namran, Mr. Kovan Dilawer, coordinator of the Anesthesia Department, presented valuable information about the historical and cultural significance of the site, highlighting its important role in the history and heritage of the Kurdistan Region. The visit provided students with an opportunity to learn beyond the classroom environment and appreciate the region’s rich historical background.
The trip created a positive and enjoyable atmosphere for both staff and students, encouraging communication, teamwork, and social interaction while supporting students’ well-being and personal development. Students expressed great excitement and gratitude for participating in such a memorable and meaningful experience.
