Dear Students,
Anesthesia is a vital and dynamic field within healthcare, dedicated to ensuring patient safety, comfort, and optimal outcomes during surgical and critical care procedures. It combines strong scientific foundations with advanced clinical practice, requiring precision, responsibility, and continuous learning.
The main focus of our undergraduate Anesthesia program is to provide students with a solid foundation in medical and anesthesia sciences while progressively developing their clinical competence. Our aim is to prepare graduates who can effectively support anesthesiologists by applying scientific knowledge, operating modern anesthesia equipment, and delivering safe perioperative care.
The curriculum covers fundamental subjects such as human anatomy and physiology, pharmacology, pathology, and clinical biochemistry, alongside specialized courses in general and regional anesthesia, airway management, anesthesia equipment, patient monitoring, pain management, and intensive care. These courses are supported by laboratory work, simulation-based training, and supervised clinical practice in hospitals.
We encourage our students to actively participate in academic and clinical activities, share ideas, and engage in teamwork and professional development. Excellence in practice, ethical responsibility, respect for diversity, and commitment to patient safety are the core values of our department.
We look forward to welcoming you and supporting you throughout your academic journey.
Sincerely,
Head of the Anesthesia Department
