On May 15, 2025, the IT and Cybersecurity Departments at the Faculty of Applied Science, Tishk International University, successfully hosted the Cybersecurity National Workshop. The event was sponsored by Fastlink and brought together students, faculty, and industry professionals to discuss cutting-edge cybersecurity practices.
The workshop, held from 9:30 AM to 12:00 PM, focused on strengthening digital infrastructure across Kurdistan and Iraq. While primarily designed for Cybersecurity and IT students, university staff members also participated in the event.
A representative from the organizing committee stated, “This workshop served as a dynamic platform for connecting academia with industry, fostering dialogue, innovation, and partnerships to build a stronger digital future for our region.”
The collaboration between Tishk International University and Fastlink highlights the growing importance of cybersecurity education and industry partnerships in developing robust digital infrastructure for the region.
