On 7th-8th of April 2018, Tishk International University proudly organised and hosted a joint International Conference with Salahaddin University – the 5th International Conference on Applied Science, Energy and Environment (ICASEE).
Dr Ibrahim Yaseen, Head and staff member of Medical Analysis Department at Tishk International University has actively participated in the conference by presenting two independent high impact research talks, which were entitled ‘Effect of Al-Sulaymaniyah Governorate Propolis on β-lactamase Activity’ and ‘The role of tetraspanin 2 (Tspan2) transmembrane protein in Burkholderia thailandensis CDC272 infection’. Both talks have focused on introducing novel strategies to tackle the reasons behind the global challenge – The Antibiotic Resistance.
Furthermore, the research presented not only fostered and promoted specific innovative ideas to overcome the mentioned global health concern, the bacterial antibiotic resistance, via bringing the advanced treatment research from bench to clinic, but also such participation has stimulated a warm environment of thoughts sharing and establishing plans of collaborations of the future research.
