On September 22, 2024, Dr. Tola Faraj, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Applied Sciences at Tishk International University (TIU), met with a team from the American Consulate and Embassy in Erbil and Baghdad. The team included Kim Strollo, Public Affairs Officer from the American Consulate, Andy Halus, from the American Embassy, and Rêving Mizory from the American Consulate.

Their discussion focused on the ongoing implementation of the Fulbright ACAG Training Course and the Edu-Health Community Action Grant. This grant is designed to connect academia with the healthcare sector to create impactful solutions.

The meeting also explored new ways to collaborate and exchange ideas with other U.S.-supported programs in the Kurdistan Region. This interaction highlights TIU’s commitment to building international partnerships and contributing to initiatives that support the development of education and healthcare in the region.
