In a significant step toward strengthening academic, scientific, and professional collaboration in the health sciences, Tishk International University (TIU), Applied Science Faculty, represented through the Anesthesia Department and Medical Technical Radiology Department, formally signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Erbil Hospital (EH) on September 9, 2026, at Erbil Hospital Campus.
The MoU represents an important milestone in establishing and expanding cooperation between academia and the healthcare sector. The agreement aims to create new opportunities for the exchange of scientific knowledge, professional expertise, clinical experience, and academic resources, while fostering collaboration in education, research, training, and professional development.
The TIU delegation was headed by Prof. Dr. Faiq H. S. Hussain, Dean of the Applied Science Faculty, accompanied by Asst. Prof. Dr. Tola A. Faraj, Vice Dean of the Applied Science Faculty, M.Sc. Kovan Dilawer Issa, Head of the Anesthesia Department, M.Sc. Rawa Kamaran Fattah, Head of the Medical Technical Radiology Department, and B.Sc. Zahra Mohammad Maghdid, Research Assistant at the Anesthesia Department.
The delegation was warmly welcomed by Mr. Fadhil Mahamad-Amin, Owner of Erbil Hospital, and Dr. Sherzad Kareem, Executive Manager of Erbil Hospital.
The signing ceremony highlighted the shared commitment of both institutions to advancing healthcare education and professional practice. Through this partnership, TIU and EH seek to facilitate opportunities for student training and clinical exposure, faculty and professional collaboration, scientific research, knowledge exchange, seminars and workshops, and other joint academic and professional activities.
