Tishk International University (TIU) recently celebrated its strongest achievement in the QS and Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings, confirming its growing position as one of the leading universities in Iraq, the Kurdistan Region, and the Arab world.
The celebration ceremony was held on November 3, 2025, at the New Dentistry Building, with attendance from the Ministry of Higher Education (KRG), university leaders, faculty members, and media representatives.

University leadership noted that these rankings reflect TIU’s commitment to academic quality, innovation, community development, and sustainability. They highlighted that this success is the result of the continuous efforts of faculty, staff, students, and institutional partners.

During the event, Appreciation Certificates were presented to Deans, Heads of Departments, and Unit Directors for their contributions to TIU’s institutional progress.

An important highlight of the event was the participation of Dr. Tola Faraj, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Applied Science, who delivered a thoughtful and inspiring speech. In his remarks, Dr. Tola congratulated the entire TIU community and described the achievement as a “bright and promising milestone” in the university’s journey. He emphasized the essential role of teamwork, academic dedication, and continuous improvement, noting that such outcomes are possible only when all units work together with a shared vision. Dr. Tola also encouraged faculty and students to continue striving for excellence, innovation, and higher international standards, reinforcing TIU’s mission to serve society through knowledge and leadership.

TIU’s progress is further supported by its institutional accreditation from ZEVA and 18 internationally accredited programs from agencies such as ZEVA, ASIIN, FIBAA, and AHPGS. More programs are currently under review to ensure full alignment with European quality standards and continued global recognition.
