The Information Technology Department at Tishk International University plays a key role in advancing education and technology while supporting the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Since its establishment, the department has focused on building strong digital infrastructure, training students and staff, and connecting education with industry needs. It actively contributes to SDG 4 (Quality Education) by offering ICT training in schools, running Python revision sessions, and engaging high school students through lab visits and workshops. By joining programs like AWS Academy and organizing national cybersecurity events, the department also supports SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure), ensuring students gain modern, practical skills in cloud computing and digital security. Furthermore, its collaborations with schools, telecom companies, and local communities highlight SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals), creating sustainable links between academia and society. Through these efforts, the IT Department not only strengthens technical capacity but also empowers individuals and communities to thrive in a knowledge-based economy.
