Tuesday, February 10, 2026 – As part of its ongoing commitment to community engagement and the digital transformation of education, the Artificial Intelligence Department within the Faculty of Applied Science at Tishk International University (TIU) successfully conducted a specialized training workshop titled “Artificial Intelligence in Education”. The event took place at Zanyari Private School, a high school located in Hawler.
The comprehensive training session was delivered by the Project Leader, Hemin Ibrahim, PhD, Head of the Artificial Intelligence Department. The project timeline spans from January 1st to March 1st, 2026, ensuring structured preparation and follow-up.
The initiative was designed to equip students and teachers for a digital future. It was spearheaded by Ms. Kanar Zirak, lecturer at Tishk International University, who conducted several initial meetings to identify a knowledge gap regarding modern technology, leading to the selection of this highly relevant topic. She worked closely with the school’s principal to coordinate the event and align the training objectives with the institution’s specific needs.
The session was specifically designed for the school’s principal and administrative staff, focusing on the integration of Artificial Intelligence to streamline institutional workflows. The workshop highlighted how AI-driven tools can significantly reduce manual workloads by automating scheduling, enhancing communication, and managing data-intensive administrative tasks.
