TIU Community Honors Prophet Muhammad’s Legacy
On September 25, 2025, Tishk International University held a special event to celebrate Mawlid al-Nabi, the birthday of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). The event took place in the Education Building, Hall 302, at 1:30 PM. Many teachers and assistants gathered to honor this important day and share their thoughts about the Prophet’s life and message.
Inspiring Speeches
Dr. Tola Faraj, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Applied Science, and Dr. Sultan Abu-Orabi, President of the University, both delivered meaningful speeches that inspired everyone. Their words reminded the audience of the Prophet’s great example of kindness, honesty, and mercy, making the event a memorable and educational occasion for all.
Observance of the Holy Month
As all are aware, we are currently in the holy month of Mawlid, the month in which the Islamic Prophet Mohammed (PBUH) was born. Muslims from all around the world celebrate the birth of the Prophet Mohammed, who came to humanity as a guide and leader. Kurdish people observe this occasion by decorating their homes and bazaars and exchanging sweets and desserts.
