On May 16th, 2025, the Medical Technical Radiology Department of the Faculty of Applied Sciences at Tishk International University organised its third scientific field trip to Zheen International Hospital. This excursion aimed to provide first-grade, second-semester students with hands-on experience in the Radiology Department, focusing specifically on CT Scan and MRI technologies.
Under the supervision of the Head of Department, Ms. Rawa Kamaran, and Professor Dr. Runak T. Ali, students were introduced to the operation of CT and MRI machines, learning about patient positioning, imaging techniques, and essential safety protocols. They observed how these advanced devices are used to capture detailed images for diagnosing a variety of medical conditions.
A special thanks goes to Technician Radiographer Mr. Awara Ibrahim for his valuable support in guiding students through the practical aspects of CT and MRI procedures. His insights into the operation and clinical applications of these technologies greatly enhanced the learning experience.
The trip offered students a unique opportunity to bridge theoretical knowledge with real-world applications in the radiology field.
