On April 17th, 2025, the Medical Technical Radiology Department of the Faculty of Applied Sciences at Tishk International University organised a scientific field trip to Zheen International Hospital. This academic excursion was designed to deepen the clinical understanding of first-grade, second-semester students by immersing them in real-world diagnostic imaging environments.

Under the supervision of the Department head, Ms. Rawa Kamaran, and Professor Dr. Runak T. Ali, students were introduced to essential radiological procedures, including patient positioning, imaging techniques, safety protocols, and the operation of advanced diagnostic equipment such as X-ray and fluoroscopy.

The visit offered a valuable opportunity for experiential learning, effectively bridging theoretical coursework with hands-on clinical application. Students observed the workflow of professional radiology departments, gaining insight into image acquisition, interpretation, and the crucial role of radiologic technologists in patient care.

We sincerely thank the technician radiographer, Mr.Ragaz, for his dedicated support and collaboration throughout the visit. His guidance played a key role in enriching the students’ learning experience and enhancing their understanding of diagnostic imaging methodologies.

By directly engaging with radiology practices in a clinical setting, students developed a clearer perspective on their future roles as medical imaging professionals and the importance of accuracy, ethics, and patient safety in radiologic science.
