On July 2, 2026, the Artificial Intelligence Department at Tishk International University (TIU) in Erbil hosted a special year-end gathering to mark the successful conclusion of the 2025-2026 academic year. The event brought together the department’s pioneering first-grade cohort to celebrate their collective achievements, reflect on the educational journey thus far, and discuss the strategic vision for the upcoming academic year.
During the gathering, lecturers and students engaged in a comprehensive review of the past year’s milestones. As the inaugural class of the AI Department, these first-grade students hold a unique position, having laid a robust foundation for all future cohorts. These future initiatives are carefully designed to ensure that students remain at the absolute forefront of technological education, practical skill development, and artificial intelligence innovation.
A central highlight of the event was the recognition of three exceptional students who demonstrated remarkable dedication and excellence in various capacities over the last two semesters. The department proudly recognized Mueen Muhammed Majeed for his exemplary service and tireless leadership as the class representative, highlighting his vital role in ensuring smooth communication between the student body and the department. Yasin Ahmed Namiq was honored for his outstanding academic performance and high mastery in the Programming course, setting a commendable standard for peer learning. Furthermore, Yaqub Ahmed Haji received special appreciation for his invaluable technical contributions to the department; his dedication to professional photography and video editing has greatly enhanced the department’s visual communications and digital presence throughout the year.
