6th Session of Fullbright ACAG Program

The sixth community project of the Fulbright ACAG Program was hosted by the Medical Analysis Department, Faculty of Applied Sciences at Tishk International University (TIU) on 17th of September 2024. The community project aim was enhancing the educational experience of Cambridge II International School students. The project featured two esteemed speakers who shared their insights and expertise with the young audience.

The first speaker was Miss Huda, from the Information Technology department, She talked about Al’s Role in Education. She gave the students tips on how to use AI in a way that help them get a better understanding of their lessons and class work.

The second speaker was Dr. Tola Faraj the Vice Dean of Faculty of Applied Science. He gave a presentation about the Sustainable Development Goals. He mentioned that these rules are a universal call to action, aiming to balance social, economic, and environmental progress to create a better future for all. He provided students with ideas on how they can implement these rules in the school projects to enhance their community’s wellbeing. The short titles of the 17 SDGs are: No poverty (SDG 1), Zero hunger (SDG 2), Good health and well-being (SDG 3), Quality education (SDG 4), Gender equality (SDG 5), Clean water and sanitation (SDG 6), Affordable and clean energy (SDG 7), Decent work and economic growth (SDG 8), Industry, innovation and infrastructure (SDG 9), Reduced inequalities (SDG 10), Sustainable cities and communities (SDG 11), Responsible consumption and production (SDG 12), Climate action (SDG 13), Life below water (SDG 14), Life on land (SDG 15), Peace, justice, and strong institutions (SDG 16), and Partnerships for the goals (SDG 17).

The Fulbright ACAG Program continues to make a significant impact, providing valuable learning opportunities for school students.
