During the practical microbiology class the students performed culturing by taking swabs of normal flora from each other's skin and applied the samples to agar plates to be grown. The purpose was to teach the students how to collect a microbiological specimen and also show them how humans have a synergistic relationship with bacteria on our skin.

Faculty of Science welcoming lunch ceremony

On the 30th of October, A welcoming lunch ceremony was arranged for the Faculty of Science which includes both the Medical Analysis and IT department staff. This took place at the University garden and the dean of the faculty of science gave pleasant speech and welcomed the new staff with open arms. The staff introduced themselves and it was an fantastic opportunity for them to meet and greet one another. It was a very enjoyable occasion on a lovely autumn day.

On the 29th of October 2018, a welcoming ceremony was arranged by the Dean of Students, Mrs. Amine, for the new Female members of staff from departments including the Medical analysis and faculties of Architecture and Pharmacy. In this meeting topics such as new students and staff adaptation to their university environment, here at Tishk International University, were discussed. This was a highly enjoyable meeting where staff got to meet each other and discuss various topics.
