On 21st of May 2025 the Faculty of Applied Science at Tishk International University (TIU) had the distinct honor of holding a virtual meeting with the esteemed management team of the Institute for Research in Molecular Medicine (INFORMM) and representatives from the International Relations Office at Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM). This strategic engagement reflects TIU’s continued efforts to strengthen international academic ties and foster impactful global partnerships in the field of science and research.

The meeting was done by Prof. Faiq Hussain, the Dean of Faculty of Applied Science and Dr. Tola Faraj, the Vice Dean of Faculty of Applied Science.

During the meeting a wide array of collaborative opportunities aimed at mutual academic advancement and knowledge exchange were discussed. Key areas of focus included staff and student mobility programs, which would allow for academic exchange and cultural enrichment; joint research initiatives, particularly in the fields of molecular medicine and biomedical sciences; collaborative postgraduate supervision; and the organization of academic events, such as international conferences, symposia, and specialized workshops.

This promising dialogue marks a significant step toward building sustainable academic and research bridges between TIU and USM, that is one of Malaysia’s leading institutions. Both parties expressed strong interest in pursuing formal agreements that will facilitate active cooperation in the coming months.
