The 4th community project of the Fulbright ACAG Program was hosted on 11th of September 2024 in Maryamana Hospital, by the Medical Analysis Department, Faculty of Applied Sciences at Tishk International University (TIU). The community project aim was enhancing the educational experience of Rise School students. The project featured two esteemed speakers who shared their insights and expertise with the young audience.
The session opened with a presentation by Dr. Shayda Ziyad Jamil Al-Talabany, a lecturer at the College of Medicine, Hawler Medical University. She holds an M.B.Ch.B and a Fellowship in Family Medicine. Her presentation titled as Fit for Life: Building Healthy Habits for the Future.
She highlighted the significance of developing sustainable, healthy habits to improve physical fitness and overall health. Following Dr. Shayda, Dr. Jaafaru Sani Mohammed who is an Assistant Professor in the Medical Analysis Department at Tishk International University, Erbil. He holds a BSc in Biochemistry, an MSc in Biotechnology, and a Ph.D. in Medical Biotechnology (Neurochemistry). He focused on practical tips for incorporating exercise, balanced nutrition, and self-care into daily routines for long term health benefits
The Fulbright ACAG Program continues to make a significant impact, providing valuable learning opportunities for school students.
