Celebrating Prophetic Traditions
In collaboration with the Dean of Students, the Faculty of Applied Sciences at Tishk International University organized a significant workshop on September 16th, 2024 to celebrate the birth of Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him). The event honored the Prophet’s life while emphasizing his profound encouragement for education and knowledge dissemination.
Distinguished Religious Scholar
The workshop featured Mr. Abdulghafur Sabr, an esteemed Imam and Preacher of the Big Mosque of Altun and member of the Social Cohesion and Peacebuilding board. With an MA degree in sociology and conflict solutions from Strasburg, France, and as a KAICIID Alumni international board member, he delivered an engaging presentation on the life and teachings of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

Mr. Sabr highlighted how the Prophet (PBUH) consistently urged his community to seek knowledge regardless of their circumstances, emphasizing the well-known Hadith: “The pursuit of knowledge is a duty upon every Muslim.” This underscored the enduring value Islam places on education.
The workshop attracted a diverse audience of students, faculty members, and community leaders, all eager to understand the lasting impact of the Prophet’s teachings on modern society. The event concluded with an interactive Q&A session where participants explored how to integrate the Prophet’s teachings into contemporary educational frameworks.
