Rare Disease Day Exhibition at the Medical Analysis Department
The Medical Analysis Department, Faculty of Applied Sciences at Tishk International University, organized a poster exhibition titled: Rare Disease Day, held on 28th February 2023, at the main entrance of the university.
The primary objective of the exhibition was to provide educational opportunities for students across different academic disciplines, aiming to enhance their understanding of many rare diseases and their associated symptoms. The occurrence of delays in diagnosing rare diseases is sometimes attributed to a dearth of scientific comprehension and dependable information. Hence, it is imperative to cultivate understanding in order to facilitate patients in obtaining accurate diagnoses and appropriate therapeutic interventions. The students majoring in medical analysis delivered a presentation on a total of 13 distinct rare diseases and clinical cases, which were effectively depicted through visual aids.
The poster display was a great success was a notable level of enthusiasm among individuals in acquiring knowledge, and the students also derived advantages from this situation as they gained exposure to a wide range of situations and were able to enhance their abilities in delivering presentations.
