7th Session of Fullbright ACAG Program
On October 12th, 2024, the seventh community project was organized by the Medical Analysis Department, Faculty of Applied Sciences at Tishk International University (TIU). The community project was sponsored by the Fulbright ACAG Program. This session was done for Cambridge International School, and it focused on enhancing knowledge and education within the community. The event featured two esteemed speakers who shared their insights on teaching, leadership, and the importance of well-being for optimal performance.
The first speaker, Dr. Kenan Kapukaya, captivated the audience with his presentation titled “Transformative Teaching and Learning.” He emphasized the critical role of curiosity in education, urging attendees to inspire change and empower themselves and their peers to think critically and adapt creatively. Dr. Keenan mentioned that leadership is not just about guiding others; it’s about continuously growing and evolving on the person’s own career path, inspiring those around to do the same. His words resonated with the students, encouraging them to take proactive steps in their educational journeys and personal development.
Following Dr. Keenan, Dr. Jafaaru Sani took the stage to discuss the significant impact of diet on cognitive function and overall academic performance. He shared valuable insights on how proper nutrition can enhance focus, memory retention, and mental clarity. Dr. Jafaaru’s message underscored the importance of making informed food choices to optimize students’ potential in both their academic and daily lives.
The event fostered an engaging atmosphere where students participated actively, asking questions, and sharing their thoughts on the topics discussed.
