October Is All About Pink -Breast Cancer Awareness Month (BCAM)
Starting from Saturday, 1st of October, till Monday, 31st October 2022
ππππ¨πππ« is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, an annual worldwide campaign to increase awareness of breast cancer. For this year, a Health-Giving Community Project at the Medical Analysis Department, Faculty of Applied Sciences at Tishk International University has been organized by both Lecturers, (Mr.Goran N.Saleh) and Β (Ms.Muzhda H.Saber) under the title (EARLY DETECTION SAVES LIVES)
Goal: aiming to spread awareness and to promote regular screening and early detection of breast cancer for both staff and students & to involves as many staff and students as possible in raising awareness and funds to help support life-saving research and life-changing support.
Agenda:
- Spreading Breast Cancer Awareness Brochures, pink ribbons and presenting a pink rose – a symbol of gratitude among staff and students (Main building Entrance).
- Learning students and staff how to perform Breast Self-Examination. Early detection provides the best chance of successful treatment and cure.
