A group of enthusiastic first-year students in the IT Department at Tishk International University—Ahmad Tariq (group leader), Aland Luqman, Balen Talib, Aland Omed, Shvan Kikaws, Muhamad Masood, Didar Hadi, Danial Agid, and Laith Ahmad—initiated an impactful social project focused on planting trees to promote environmental awareness and sustainability.
Project Aims
Led by Ahmad Tariq, the students organized a tree-planting campaign in a public area of Erbil. Their goal was to contribute to a greener environment, raise awareness about climate change, and encourage their peers to take part in eco-friendly actions. The team selected locations, gathered the necessary tools and saplings, and worked together to plant trees in a coordinated effort.
This initiative not only helped improve the local landscape but also served as a valuable educational experience for the team and the wider community. The students showcased teamwork, leadership, and environmental responsibility, setting a strong example of how young people can positively impact their surroundings.
Their work reflects a growing commitment among youth to protect and preserve the environment for future generations.
