The mission of the Information Technology B.Sc. degree program is to prepare students for employment in various information technology-related areas and/or develop research in the field by educating them on the fundamental knowledge, modals, tools, skills, and techniques of Information Technology.
The mission of the Information Technologies department is to prepare students to be research and development leaders in computer science and computer technology.
And to provide quality undergraduate education in both the theoretical and applied foundations of computer science and train students to effectively apply this education to solve real-world problems thus amplifying their potential for lifelong high-quality careers and give them a competitive advantage in the ever-changing and challenging global work environment of the 21st century
As part of its mission the department brings the latest research findings into courses and actively involves students in research endeavors and projects of the department.
The program also provides leadership in the application of high technology to improve the educational experience and provide computer science expertise to the people of KRG and the nation.
