Community Project – TIU IT Students Create a New Website for Orphanages

Students from Tishk International University’s IT Department have built a special “Interactive Orphanage Website” for their graduation project this academic year 2023-2024 in partnership with Idress Charity NGO. Marsel Mofaq Azo, Usama Sardar Hakim, and Onel Nazar Habeeb, guided by Dr. Taha Basheer Taha, worked together to support orphanages in Erbil and other places.
This project started on November 26, 2023, and continued until the end of May 2024.
This new website makes it easy for people to connect with orphanages. Visitors can donate money, volunteer their time, or learn more about the orphanage’s work. The website is simple to use, making it easier for everyone to help.
The “Interactive Orphanage Website” is more than just a website.
It’s a tool that helps orphanages get more support, find more volunteers, and share their stories and talents with more people. By using technology, this project helps increase support for orphaned children in Erbil and could be used as an example for similar efforts in other areas.
