Location: Tishk International University & Zanyari Private School
Date: between 27-January 2025 and 1-March 2025

Led by Mr. Mohammad Salim from the TIU IT Department, with valuable support from Dr. Cengiz Akbalaban and Ms. Kanar Zirak of the Marketing Unit, the initiative offered hands-on, practical training sessions centered on Google Classroom, Google Forms, and Google Drive. Coordination and logistical support were efficiently managed by Mr. Karwan Mahmood, Principal of Zanyari Private School.
Two in-depth training sessions—each lasting two hours—were conducted: one hosted at Zanyari School and the other at the IT laboratories of Tishk International University. At the request of Zanyari School, all training materials and instruction were delivered in Kurdish, ensuring accessibility and maximum comprehension for all participants.
Attendees actively participated in the training exercises, demonstrating immediate application of newly acquired skills. Pre- and post-assessment data showed clear evidence of progress, including notable improvements in digital literacy and increased confidence in using ICT tools. Feedback collected from participants highlighted high levels of satisfaction with both the content and delivery of the sessions. The use of Kurdish as the language of instruction was especially well-received, as it removed language barriers and fostered open, active engagement.
Beyond its educational impact, the project also strengthened the institutional partnership between Tishk International University and Zanyari Private School. Both parties expressed strong interest in continuing their collaboration through future initiatives aimed at advancing digital transformation and innovation in education.
In conclusion, this training program was a resounding success—effectively enhancing educators’ ICT competencies while setting a strong precedent for community-university collaboration. The initiative not only empowered school staff with practical digital tools but also laid the groundwork for sustained meaningful cooperation moving forward.
