The Huawei ICT Competition for the Middle East and Central Asia, Tishk International University

The Huawei ICT Competition for the Middle East and Central Asia, in partnership with UNESCO IITE (Institute for Information Technologies in Education), is dedicated to advancing digital learning and fostering collaboration between industry and educational institutions. This annual global ICT talent exchange event is specifically designed for students, offering a prestigious platform to showcase their talents and gain worldwide recognition for their achievements. We warmly invite you to join and take part in the competition.
Huawei ICT Academy is a partnership between Huawei and academies around the world, with Tishk International University as an official partner. Through this partnership, TIU can deliver Huawei ICT technologies training, encourage students to obtain Huawei certification, and develop talents with practical skills for the ICT industry and the community.

The IT Department strongly urges its students to take part in the annual ICT Innovation Competition 2024/25 by registering through Tishk International University Academy and adhering to the guidelines provided below.

No. of Exams in the competition for 2024-2025:

  • Preliminary exam in Iraq (online)
  • National final exam in Iraq (online)
  • Regional exam MECA in Iraq (onsite)
  • Global exam in China (onsite)

Competition Rules

I. Who can participate:

  1. The contestants must be university students.

II. Requirements for participating individually or in teams:

  1. Participants must have access to a PC and the internet.
  2. Each participant is only allowed to enter one track per competition.
  3. Students can participate in the competition individually or team-based. For the teams, it’s recommended that each team consists of 3 students per track/country.
  4. The team-based students must come from the same college or university.
  5. It is not allowed to change the instructor and/or students of a team after successful registration.
  6. The regional finals are team-based, with teams advancing from the national finals.
