On Tuesday, 2 November, the IT Department proudly participated in the TIU Food Fundraising Event, supporting SDG 1: No Poverty through charitable contributions and community assistance. Over 100 students from the department took part, preparing and managing seven tables featuring a wide selection of traditional Kurdish foods and sweets, aligning with SDG 2: Zero Hunger by helping provide food for a meaningful cause. Throughout the event, our students demonstrated exceptional engagement with TIU staff and visitors, contributing to a welcoming and successful fundraising atmosphere that reflects SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals.
The IT Department staff provided strong support to ensure smooth coordination. Special recognition is extended to Ms. Aya Sarkawt for her outstanding effort in organizing the students and motivating them to actively contribute to the event.
A considerable amount of food was sold, and all proceeds will be allocated to charitable causes. The IT Department commends its students for their dedication, teamwork, and exemplary representation of the department’s values.
