🖥️ Scientific Field Visit to DIL Technology – Practical Engagement in Server Management
Organized by the Department of Information Technology – Tishk International University
As part of the Server Management course delivered by the IT Department at Tishk International University, a scientific field visit was conducted to DIL Technology Company on May 29, 2025. This visit aimed to bridge academic learning with real-world exposure to enterprise infrastructure and IT operations.
📍 Location: DIL Technology Company, Office Building No. 1, Media City, Shaqlawa Road, Erbil
👥 Participants: 20 senior IT students (4th grade)
👨‍🏫 Supervised by: Mr. Mohammad Salim & Mr. Holan Omed
🕘 Visit Duration: 10 AM – 12:00 PM
🧑‍💻 Visit Highlights:
The visit provided hands-on insights aligned with the Server Management course curriculum, including:
  • Server infrastructure and rack configuration
  • Data center hosting and environmental controls
  • IP transit, leased lines, and network architecture
  • CDN technologies and DDoS mitigation
  • Core system administration practices
Students experienced enterprise IT infrastructure in action, deepening their understanding of server and network management principles.

Throughout the visit, students were actively engaged, asking insightful questions related to:
  • The company’s business model and technical operations
  • Career paths in system administration and network engineering
  • Required skills and certifications for industry roles
  • Internship and job opportunities at DIL Technology
