Social Project: Cleaning Park and Plant Flowers and Trees
This social project, organized by Barin Mushtaq and facilitated by Hala Sarhad Abdullsatar, is dedicated to the restoration of Sami Abdulrahman Park and the planting of trees in order to foster community well-being and environmental sustainability. These activities aim to improve air quality, promote biodiversity, promote recreational opportunities, enhance green spaces, and remove litter, debris, and invasive species. The project’s objectives include the beautification and revitalization of urban areas, as well as the education and engagement of the public in environmental conservation.
The endeavour entailed a number of specific steps, including the following: preparation, which includes the sharing of a Google form via WhatsApp, the organisation of a clean-up day, the meeting of volunteers, the evaluation of the park’s condition, and the preparation of activities. Flyers, news, photographs, and essential equipment will be prepared by committees during the pre-application phase. The tree committee planted trees or clean the park during the application phase, while the equipment committee will supply the necessary tools. The project leader was responsible for supervising the project, the assistant coordinating committees, and the video committee is responsible for creating a video clip. Vibrant flowers, enhanced visual appeal for residents and visitors, reduced litter, and improved soil health are among the advantages of this project. Trees will enhance the quality of the air by absorbing pollutants, releasing oxygen, and capturing carbon dioxide.
