Social Project: Helping Underprivileged Families

The Department of Applied Sciences, Faculty of Applied Sciences at Tishk International University (TIU) organized a social project that committed to providing assistance and support to families in need by purchasing and distributing food to them. The objective is to mitigate some of the obstacles they encounter by making a substantial impact on their lives. Our commitment to this cause is truly commendable, and the families we assist will benefit from our endeavours. The team decided to take on this project in order to provide food and gifts for the children of many low-income families who are unable to purchase food.

Project Objectives and Goals

  • Reduce Hunger: Ensure that underprivileged families have access to regular meals and alleviate hunger by purchasing and distributing nutritious food items.
  • Spread Joy to Children: Collect and distribute gifts to underprivileged children, thereby fostering memorable experiences and spreading joy during special occasions or holidays.
  • Positive Impact: By emphasising these objectives and goals, we will have a positive impact on the lives of underprivileged families and bring joy to the faces of children in need.

Step-by-Step Description

Preparation

  • Conduct research to identify families in need.
  • Collect funds to purchase food and gifts.
  • Create a list of food items that need to be purchased.
  • Together, acquire food and gifts.
  • Deliver the items to the families.

Pre-application

  • Food items and gifts will be selected by the members of the foods committee.
  • The food will be prepared and delivered by members of the project committee.
  • The process will be documented by video committee members through the use of video clips and photographs.

Utilisation

The members of the food committee will purchase food and gifts for the children.
Members of the equipment committee will guarantee that the families receive their items in a timely manner.

Implementation Responsibilities Description

  • Project Leader: Supervises the project.
  • Project Assistant: Manages the committees.
  • The Food Committee is responsible for the preparation and delivery of the food.
  • Tools and equipment that are required are prepared by the equipment committee.
  • Video Committee: Produces a video clip of the project.
