First Annual Tishk International Programming Contest (IPC2018)
Department of Computer Engineeringin collaboration with Department of Information Technology organized 1stAnnual Tishk International Programming Contest (IPC2018)among its undergraduate students on May 14, 2018.
This year’s Tishk International Programming Contest (IPC2018) focused on competitive programming challenges for freshman and sophomore students of Computer Engineering and IT Department. Besides improving students’ knowledge of algorithms and programming languages, they’ll gain unique experience in problem solving, thinking outside the box and meeting tough deadlines – all essential for boosting students value as a programmer.
In IPC2018, first year students from Computer Engineering department and second year from Information Technology department competed by solving 4 problems according to provided specifications for three hours, where they used (C++ Programming Language) for this contest.As a distinctive event, it is focused on providing a platform for students to improve and demonstrate their problem solving and programing skills.
12 students participated from both departments. All the participants got Participation Certificate and the first three places got awarded. The winners were Ahmad Farhad(First Place), Hasna Alaa(Second Place), and Babo Maher(Third Place).
IPC is a step towards further enforcing the commitment of Tishk International University, for the development of Computer Engineering, Information Technology, and related fields. As a distinctive event, it is focused on providing a platform for students to improve and demonstrate their problem solving and programing skills.
