Medical Analysis Department in Spring Festival
On 25th of April, 2024, the Medical Analysis Department, Faculty of Applied Sciences at Tishk International University (TIU) participated in the 7th International Spring Festival organized by Tishk International University, with two tents. The first tent was the cultural tent that represented Argentina and showcased their culture by traditional clothes, food, and sports. The culture tent attracted the visitors who appreciated the colourful presentations and the diversity of the Argentinian culture. The second tent was the scientific tent representing the Medical Analysis Department under the theme of Artificial Intelligence. In this tent, various AI applications that could analyze laboratory results were presented. Two applications were used in the tent, Ada and Lab Informer. Ada is an AI-powered system developed to analyze laboratory results and provide accurate diagnoses within seconds. Lab Informer is another impressive application that could analyze laboratory results and identify various trends within seconds.
The department used the festival as an opportunity to showcase the practical applications of AI in the medical field and how it could enhance diagnosis accuracy and improve patient outcomes. During the event,students also gathered funds for four community projects through food fundraiser tents, where they sold a variety of Kurdish delicacies. The department received high praise from the festival organizers for their hard work and dedication to showcasing the best of Argentina and the advancements in Medical Analysis. It was a proud moment for the department.
