National Workshop on Antimicrobial Resistance Awareness In collaboration with the Medical Microbiology, College of Health Sciences, Hawler Medical University (HMU), the Medical Analysis Department, Faculty of Applied Sciences at Tishk International University (TIU) hosted a National Workshop on Antimicrobial Resistance Awareness on November 22nd, 2023. The excessive use of antibiotics is the main contributor of antimicrobial resistance. It allows microorganisms, including bacteria, fungi, viruses, and parasites, to develop resistance to antimicrobial agents that were once successful in treating infections.
