On 25/1/2026 the second stage students of Nutrition and Dietetics at Tishk International University conducted a high impact outreach visit to Honya Elementary School to make a combination of health and nutrition education aswell as community support.
The school visit featured a seminar titled under the name of (The Connection Between Healthy Eating and Academic Success.) Nutrition and dietetics students made sure that they utilized their academic studies to demonstrate to the students and make them undrestand how proper nutrition serves as the foundation for cognitive function and focusing during classroom and their academic success. And that was done by translating scientific principles into practical daily habits, which was easy for them at that level to undrestand, they were also equipped with the tools to choose nutrient dense foods that support them.
In addition to the educational session, The Nutrition and dietetics department students demonstrated their commitment to student welfare by donating heaters to the school. Recognizing the challenges of the winter season, this contribution ensures that the children of Honya Elementary can pursue their studies in a warm and conducive learning environment.
The school’s administration expressed sincere gratitude for the dual contribution. This initiative highlights the university’s mission to foster social responsibility in its students, allowing them to apply what they learned in their studies to the real world while making a impactful difference in the local community.
