Educational Seminar and Charitable Donation

On January 25, 2026, second-stage students of Nutrition and Dietetics at Tishk International University conducted a high-impact outreach visit to Honya Elementary School, combining health and nutrition education with meaningful community support.

Educational Seminar

The school visit featured a seminar titled “The Connection Between Healthy Eating and Academic Success.” Nutrition and Dietetics students utilized their academic studies to demonstrate how proper nutrition serves as the foundation for:

Area Impact
Cognitive function Brain health and mental clarity
Focusing during class Attention span and concentration
Academic success Overall learning performance

By translating scientific principles into practical daily habits — presented at an age-appropriate level — students were equipped with the tools to choose nutrient-dense foods that support their growth and learning.

Charitable Donation

In addition to the educational session, the Nutrition and Dietetics Department students demonstrated their commitment to student welfare by donating heaters to the school. Recognizing the challenges of the winter season, this contribution ensures that the children of Honya Elementary can pursue their studies in a warm and conducive learning environment.

School Administration Response

The school’s administration expressed sincere gratitude for the dual contribution — both educational and material support.

University Mission

This initiative highlights the university’s mission to foster social responsibility in its students, allowing them to:

  • Apply what they learned in their studies to the real world

  • Make an impactful difference in the local community

  • Develop as compassionate and engaged professionals
