Nutritional Awareness Outreach: First Year Students Visit Quest International College
On April 27, 2026, the first-year students from the Nutrition and Dietetics Department at Tishk International University conducted an educational outreach visit to Quest International College. The initiative focused on inspiring younger students to prioritize their health by exploring the essentials of a balanced diet through lively and age appropriate participation.
Commendation from College Leadership
Principal Nikita expressed her sincere thanks to the Tishk International University student group for their contribution to the college’s health initiatives. She highlighted how the dynamic presentation style and friendly engagement of the university students successfully motivated the children to think more critically about their daily food choices.
Creative Educational Methods
To ensure the health concepts were both entertaining and easy to remember, the first year students utilized several interactive strategies:
| Method | Description |
| Visual Presentation | An illustrated talk about different food groups, explaining how “superfoods” help the body grow strong and stay energized. |
| Educational Games | Cooperative play and nutritional challenges that allowed the children to learn about vitamins and minerals through movement. |
| Shared Snack Session | A social segment where students and children enjoyed wholesome treats together, demonstrating that healthy eating is a rewarding experience. |
Community Impact and Student Engagement
The day was marked by a spirit of collaboration and shared learning. By organizing these meaningful nutritional activities, the Nutrition and Dietetics students were able to:
-
Help children identify nutrient-dense snacks as an alternative to processed options.
-
Make the subject of “wellness” vibrant and approachable through shared play and discussion.
-
Allow the children to discover new flavors by sampling various healthy snack items provided by the department.
-
Strengthen the college’s commitment to student health by providing expert-backed nutritional guidance.
