On 4/2/2026 , The Nutrition and Dietetics department at Tishk International University organized a specialized Workshop for Cancer day in collaboration with Fit20 gym. The workshop focused on shedding some light on the prevention, diagnosis, its genetic and possible treatment’s for Cancer as well as some  awareness about Cancer. The event brought together four distinct medical perspectives to provide emphasizing that the fight against cancer is a collaborative effort. The workshop was structured around four core scientific areas, each presented by experts to provide s comprehensive understanding of oncology and was modertated by Assist. Prof. Dr Jafaaru Sani.

Firstly Assist. Prof.Dr.Yaseen Manmand Galali  discussed the biochemical impact of  some types of foods and the role of a e diet in reducing inflammation. The session focused on how medical nutrition therapy can help with the side effects of chemotherapy.

 This segment was presented and discussed by Dr.Negar Amir Hawezi  highlighted the evolution of diagnostic tools.She explained  how advanced MRI and CT imaging are now used not just for detection, but for the precise mapping of tumors to minimize damage to healthy tissue.

Dr.Sami Mamand  delved into the world of hereditary cancer and DNA repair mechanisms. The discussion centered on how genetic testing allows for personalized medicine, identifying individual’s who may be at higher risk due to specific mutations like BRCA1/2.

Finally Dr. Jangi Jangi Shawkat Salai, who is a knowledgable in the field of oncology provided insight on the newest Information and possible treatment for Cancer. He also Raised awareness on making sure steps are taken to prevent the development of cancer.
