On December 3, 2024, Tishk International University (TIU) celebrated the establishment of its new Nutrition and Dietetics Department. A special welcoming ceremony was held for the first-grade students of the 2024-2025 academic year.

The ceremony featured speeches by Prof. Dr. Faiq Hussain and Dr. Tola Faraj, who warmly welcomed the students and highlighted the department’s importance in contributing to the field of health and nutrition.

Department Introduction and Support Services

Ms. Pary Ameer, the Head of the Department, along with Ms. Amani Tahsin and Mr. Adam Jalal, provided a detailed introduction to the department. They outlined its vision, mission, curriculum, and the professional development opportunities available to students. They also showcased the department’s state-of-the-art laboratories and resources.

Representatives from the DoS Office, Alumni Office, and Career Center—Dr. Kenan Kapuk Kaya and Mr. Hedi Mustafa—highlighted the university’s support services and career guidance programs. Ms. Kanar from the Marketing Unit presented on the university’s achievements, and Dr. Ali Yaseen from the International Relations Office introduced students to global exchange opportunities.

The event concluded with a campus tour, allowing the new students to explore their new academic environment and familiarize themselves with the facilities.
