Tishk International University Launches Nutrition and Dietetics Department with a Warm Welcoming Ceremony for First-Grade Students

On December 3, 2024, Tishk International University proudly celebrated the establishment of the Nutrition and Dietetics Department, which welcomed its first-grade students for the 2024-2025 academic year. A special welcoming ceremony was organized to mark this milestone, featuring speeches by Prof. Dr. Faiq Hussain and Dr. Tola Faraj, who warmly welcomed the students and emphasized the importance of this new department in contributing to the field of health and nutrition.

Ms. Pary Ameer, the Head of the Department, along with Ms. Amani Tahsin and Mr. Adam Jalal, provided a detailed introduction to the department, outlining its vision, mission, curriculum, and the opportunities available to students for professional development. They also shared information about the department’s facilities, including state-of-the-art laboratories and resources designed to enhance the learning experience.

Dr. Kenan Kapuk Kaya and Mr. Hedi Mustafa, representing the DOS Office, Alumni Office, and Career Center, highlighted the university’s support services, alumni network, and career guidance programs, ensuring students are well-prepared for their academic and professional journeys. Ms. Kanar delivered an insightful presentation on behalf of the Marketing Unit, showcasing the university’s achievements and initiatives to promote student engagement. Dr. Ali Yaseen from the International Relations Office introduced the students to global exchange opportunities and partnerships with international institutions.

The ceremony also featured a student recognition and awards segment, celebrating outstanding achievements and fostering motivation among the new students. The event concluded with a campus tour, giving first-grade students an opportunity to explore their new academic home and familiarize themselves with the facilities and environment.
