Pirzin Location: Nutrition Students Support Needy Families with Food Aid

Erbil, May 16, 2025 — First-grade students from the Department of Nutrition & Dietetics carried out a community service project titled “Pirzin,” focusing on providing food assistance to underprivileged families in a selected area. On May 16, the students purchased and distributed essential food items, aiming to bring relief and hope to those in need.

The location for this charitable activity was carefully chosen to reach families facing economic hardship. Through this project, the students applied their nutritional knowledge in a real-world context while embracing the values of empathy and community care.

Faculty members praised the initiative as a meaningful example of student-led social responsibility, highlighting its role in shaping future nutrition professionals with strong humanitarian values.
