7th International Spring Festival, PT/TIU
The 7th International Spring Festival held on April 25th, 2024, at Tishk International University (TIU), focused on coexistence and celebrated languages, culture, and science. The Physiotherapy Department, Faculty of Applied Sciences, presented the rich cultural heritage of the Philippines in a well-designed exhibition space called the Philippine Culture Tent. Visitors were captivated by immersive displays of traditional art, handcrafted items, and authentic attire.
This cultural tent was organized and funded by the Dean of Students (DOS), along with a team of staff and students, who showcased traditional Philippine dishes and sweets prepared with love by Filipino women. The cultural tent provided an accurate representation of Philippine culture’s depth and diversity, leaving visitors delighted and with cherished memories, deepening their appreciation for Philippine traditions.
We extend our sincere appreciation to all the students and staff members who contributed to the event’s success. We would also like to thank Best Tea Avenue Cafe and the Philippine Consulate for their invaluable support and presence at our university. The International Spring Festival served as an extraordinary platform for interactive cultural exchange, leaving a lasting impact on participants and fostering a deeper understanding and respect for different cultures.
The Physiotherapy Department also set up a dedicated scientific tent to showcase artificial intelligence used in physiotherapy, and offering visitors the opportunity to learn about equipment from our department’s labs.
The International Spring Festival was an impressive celebration of culture, knowledge, and unity, reaffirming Tishk International University’s position as a leading institution in promoting health, education, and cultural exchange, and offering a diverse range of services and resources for the community at large.
