First-Grade Physiotherapy Students Lead Fundraising and Charity Visit to Orphanage
On April 29, 2025, first-grade students from the Physiotherapy Department, Faculty of Applied Science at Tishk International University, carried out a meaningful community project as part of their Interpersonal Dynamics and Character Building (IDCB) lesson, under the supervision of Dr. Kenan Kapukaya.
The students organized a successful on-campus food fundraising event, raising a notable amount of money to support children in a local orphanage. Driven by compassion and teamwork, they worked tirelessly—motivated by the goal of bringing happiness to those in need.
Following the fundraiser, the students visited the local market to purchase clothes, toys, school supplies, hygiene products, and other essentials tailored to the orphanage’s needs.
On May 22, 2025, the students personally visited the orphanage to deliver the items. The day was filled with joy and heartfelt moments as they played and spent time with the children. The experience left a lasting impression, strengthening their sense of social responsibility and empathy.
The Physiotherapy Department proudly recognizes the efforts of the students and Dr. Kenan Kapukaya, hoping this project will inspire similar initiatives in the future.
