The Physiotherapy Department of Tishk International University (TIU) proudly participated in the Ranking Achievement Celebration Ceremony held on 3 November 2025 at the New Dentistry Building, marking a historic milestone in the university’s global and regional academic performance. The celebration reflected TIU’s outstanding achievements in the QS World University Rankings, QS Arab University Rankings, and Times Higher Education (THE) Rankings, reaffirming the university’s position as a leading institution in the Kurdistan Region, Iraq, and the Arab world. The event was attended by representatives from the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research (KRG), university leadership, faculty members, and media representatives.
The Physiotherapy Department was honored to be part of this proud occasion, represented by the Head of Department and academic staff, alongside members of the Deanery of the Faculty of Applied Sciences. The participation of the department highlighted its continued contribution to the university’s academic excellence, quality education, and institutional development. The ceremony celebrated TIU’s remarkable rankings, including its first-ever inclusion in the QS World University Rankings 2026, top positions at the regional and national levels, and strong global standings across multiple international ranking systems.
During the ceremony, Appreciation Certificates were presented in recognition of leadership and departmental contributions to TIU’s success. The Dean of the Faculty of Applied Sciences, Dear Dr. Faiq Hussain, received an appreciation letter for academic leadership, while Dr Surajo K Sulaiman, Head of the Physiotherapy Department, was also honored with an appreciation certificate in recognition of his role and contributions as Head of Department. This memorable and inspiring day stands as a moment of pride for the Physiotherapy Department, reaffirming its commitment to academic excellence, professional growth, and active participation in advancing the mission and vision of Tishk International University.
