Academic staff from the Department of Physiotherapy at Tishk International University actively participated in the National Workshop: Research Insights – From Idea to Research Publication, held on 27 January 2026. The workshop was organized by the Department of Business and Management, FASE, in collaboration with the Research Center Unit of the university. This valuable academic event focused on guiding participants through the complete research process, from developing an initial idea to producing a high-quality publishable manuscript.
The participation of Physiotherapy Department staff in this workshop reflects the department’s ongoing commitment to academic excellence, professional development, and research advancement. The sessions provided practical knowledge on manuscript writing, research types, publication pathways, indexing systems, institutional best practices, and strategies for enhancing research productivity. Such topics are highly beneficial for academic staff, as they strengthen research skills, improve scientific writing abilities, and increase understanding of the requirements for publishing in reputable journals.
A special highlight of the event was the contribution of Dr. Mohammad Siddiq, who shared his valuable experience after participating in the FAIMER Regional Institute program. During the workshop, he presented insights gained from his professional development journey, including his participation in training opportunities in Cairo, Egypt. His presentation focused on Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) No. 3: Good Health and Well-being, particularly strategies for promoting health and well-being among non-medical educators. His experience provided inspiration to fellow academicians and highlighted the importance of international collaboration, faculty development, and innovation in higher education.
Attending research workshops and academic development programs offers several important advantages for academicians. It supports evidence-based teaching, encourages innovation in educational practice, improves confidence in conducting independent research, and expands professional networks. Furthermore, such experiences help staff remain updated with current academic standards and global trends, ultimately enhancing teaching quality, student supervision, and the academic reputation of the department. The Department of Physiotherapy highly values participation in such scholarly activities and remains dedicated to empowering its academic staff through continuous learning, research engagement, and professional growth.
