International Workshop on Promotion of Cardiovascular Health

On May 13th, 2024, the Physiotherapy Department, Faculty of Applied Sciences at Tishk International University (TIU) hosted an International Workshop on the Promotion of Cardiovascular Health.

Experts, practitioners, students, and enthusiasts who are passionate about the advancement of cardiovascular healthcare convened at the workshop. Distinguished speakers, including Assoc. Prof. Dr. Jibril Mohammed, Dean of the Faculty of Allied Health Sciences at Bayero University, Kano, Nigeria, discussed physical activity packages for cardiovascular health across various generations. The Head of the Scientific Committee in the Medical Analysis Department at TIU, Asst. Prof. Dr. Ja’afaru Sani, presented a discussion on oxidative stress and physical activities, with a particular emphasis on molecular improvements. The general concept of promoting cardiovascular health was discussed by Asst. Prof. Dr. Surajo Sulaiman, Head of the Physiotherapy Department at TIU.

The workshop offered participants a diverse selection of practical insights and knowledge. Interactive sessions emphasised the significance of physical activities in improving cardiovascular health, emphasising the potential for improved patient care, recovery outcomes, and overall quality of life. We celebrated our advancements and anticipated a future in which physiotherapy continues to impact lives in a positive manner.
