The Physiotherapy Department of Tishk International University is proud to highlight the participation of its full-time academic staff member, Dr. Mohammad Sidiq, in an international collaborative project focused on promoting Sustainable Development Goal 3 (Good Health and Well-Being). As part of this initiative, Dr. Sidiq traveled to Egypt from 10 to 18 January 2026, engaging in academic activities related to the development of an educational module aimed at improving health awareness and practices among non-medical educators.
This collaborative project, conducted in partnership with FAIMER, Ain Shams University, and Tishk International University, focuses on the development and validation of a structured educational module designed to enhance health-related knowledge and practical health-promoting behaviors among educators outside the health professions. The project follows a multi-phase methodological approach, including the development of a context-specific assessment tool, identification of existing knowledge and practice gaps, and the design of an evidence-based educational module tailored to the needs of non-medical educators. By strengthening health literacy, the initiative aims to empower educators as key contributors to promoting health and well-being within educational institutions and the broader community.
The project is conducted under the academic guidance of Prof. Dr. Ilham Youssry, Professor of Pediatrics at Cairo University, and supervised by Prof. Faiq Hussain, Dean of the Faculty of Applied Sciences, Tishk International University. The study is led by Dr. Mohammad Sidiq (PhD in Pain Science) as Principal Investigator, who currently serves as an Assistant Professor at Tishk International University, Erbil, Iraq. His involvement reflects the Physiotherapy Department’s active engagement in interdisciplinary research and global health education initiatives.
This initiative underscores Tishk International University’s and the Physiotherapy Department’s commitment to international academic collaboration, capacity building, and the advancement of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals through education and research. The department remains dedicated to supporting scholarly activities that contribute to sustainable health promotion and global educational development.
