The Department of Physiotherapy at Tishk International University is proud to highlight the academic contribution of PT Paiwand M. Sultan, who served as an invited guest speaker at an online seminar organized by Faza Academy on 26 March 2026. The webinar, titled “Pre-Rehabilitation Oncology Care: Improving Recovery Before It Begins,” focused on the growing importance of early rehabilitation interventions in cancer care.
During the session, PT Paiwand discussed the role of pre-rehabilitation in preparing patients physically and psychologically before undergoing medical treatments such as surgery, chemotherapy, and radiation therapy. The presentation emphasized evidence-based strategies to improve functional capacity, enhance resilience, reduce treatment-related complications, and support better recovery outcomes. The seminar brought together healthcare professionals, students, and clinicians interested in advancing their knowledge of oncology rehabilitation. Through the sharing of current evidence and practical clinical approaches, participants gained valuable insights into integrating physiotherapy interventions within multidisciplinary cancer care pathways.
This participation reflects the Department of Physiotherapy’s commitment to promoting evidence-based practice, professional development, and community engagement through active involvement in scientific and educational activities. Such initiatives contribute to the advancement of rehabilitation sciences and support the delivery of high-quality patient-centered care. The Department of Physiotherapy congratulates PT Paiwand on this achievement and appreciates her ongoing efforts in representing the university and contributing to the advancement of oncology rehabilitation and healthcare education.
