The Department of Physiotherapy at Tishk International University is proud to announce the successful completion of the first part of summer clinical training program for its physiotherapy students, conducted from 14 to 27 July 2026 at the Kurdistan Rehabilitation Center in Erbil.
This training provided students with a valuable opportunity to gain hands-on clinical experience in a professional rehabilitation environment. Throughout the program, students strengthened their clinical skills, enhanced their understanding of patient-centered rehabilitation, and had the opportunity to learn directly from experienced healthcare professionals. The experience also allowed them to connect their academic knowledge with practical clinical applications and gain a deeper understanding of the responsibilities and professional role of physiotherapists within rehabilitation services.
The summer training represents an important milestone in the students’ academic and professional development. Exposure to real clinical settings helps students build confidence, improve communication and clinical reasoning skills, and develop the professional attitudes required for effective and compassionate patient care.
The training was organized and supervised by Mr. Mahmood Soran and PT Paiwand Mamand from the Department of Physiotherapy at Tishk International University, whose efforts and coordination contributed to the successful implementation of the program. From the Kurdistan Rehabilitation Center, the training was supported under the supervision of Dr. Mahabad Naqshbandi, Director and Manager of the Rehabilitation Centre, together with the dedicated healthcare professionals and instructors who guided the students throughout their clinical experience.
The Department of Physiotherapy sincerely appreciates the Kurdistan Rehabilitation Center and all those involved for their valuable guidance, support, and commitment to student education. The department remains committed to providing meaningful clinical learning opportunities that prepare its students to become competent, ethical, and compassionate future physiotherapists.
