Physiotherapy Department’s Ramadan Iftar
During the holy month of Ramadan, Muslims are encouraged to reflect and make a special effort to follow the teachings of Islam. Ramadan is more than just abstaining from food and water; it is a time for unity, spiritual reflection, and growth. Muslims engage in charity doings and good deeds, spend time with family and loved ones and try their best to avoid bad habits such as fighting, lying, and gossiping. Ramadan marks the month in which the Holy Quran was revealed to our beloved Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), and includes the holiest night of the year; Laylat al-Qadr. This month is believed to be filled with mercy, bliss, and abundant blessing, and is a great time to work on your faith and learn patience and compassion.
The Physiotherapy Department, Faculty of Applied Sciences at Tishk International University (TIU) organized a Ramadan Iftar gathering for 1st grade students on April 18th, 2023. This special event took place in the tranquil setting of the university garden, providing a welcoming and serene atmosphere for the students to break their fast.
Under the supervision of Dr. Runak T. Ali, the Head of the Department, and the coordination of Ms. Paiwand Mamand, Research Assistant at the Physiotherapy Department, the gathering aimed to foster a sense of community and unity among the grade one students during the holy month of Ramadan. The event featured a delightful selection of traditional dishes and refreshments, meticulously prepared to ensure a memorable and enjoyable iftar experience for the students. It provided an opportunity for the students to come together, strengthen bonds, and share in the spirit of Ramadan.
