Collaborative Academic and Community Initiative

The Physiotherapy Department, Faculty of Applied Sciences, Tishk International University, in collaboration with the Physiotherapy Department at Tishk International University–Sulaymaniyah, successfully conducted a National Workshop on the Role of Physiotherapy in Healthy Aging and Fall Prevention on October 20, 2025.

The workshop was held at Tishk International University, Sulaymaniyah, and represented a significant academic and community-focused initiative aimed at promoting health awareness among the aging population in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq.


Primary Objectives

The primary objective of the workshop was to provide evidence-based knowledge on:

Fall prevention strategies Evidence-based approaches for reducing fall risk
Role of physiotherapy Maintaining mobility, balance, and overall quality of life

The event served as an important platform for:
